E. High‑quality refrigeration configuration: To achieve lower test temperatures, the most mature approach for environmental testing equipment today is cascade refrigeration. The underlying principles of this method are largely similar; the key lies in the design and configuration of the refrigeration system.
1. Refrigeration Compressor: The heart of the refrigeration system is the compressor, and we have selected the world‑renowned Bitzer industrial refrigeration compressor from Italy.
2. Imported oil separators and refrigeration oils: Whether the refrigeration compressor is adequately supplied with high‑quality, properly formulated refrigeration oil directly affects its service life. If refrigeration oil enters the refrigeration system—particularly the heat exchangers—it will significantly degrade system performance. Therefore, an oil separator must be installed in the system. Based on our long‑term experience with imported oil separators, the “ESK” units from Germany and the “ALCO” units from the United States offer the best performance, while the “Taiyo” brand refrigeration oil from Japan provides the most stable performance and viscosity.
3. High-efficiency condenser–evaporator: This unit employs a state-of-the-art brazed plate heat exchanger manufactured in Sweden, which consists of multiple corrosion-resistant stainless steel plates stamped into a chevron‑shaped corrugation. Adjacent pairs of plates have corrugations oriented in opposite directions, with the crests intersecting to form numerous brazed joints. The intricate network of intersecting flow channels induces turbulent flow on both sides, significantly enhancing heat transfer performance. Moreover, the vigorous turbulence combined with the smooth stainless steel surface helps prevent fouling on the internal surfaces of the heat exchange passages. By adopting this heat exchanger, system pressure drop is reduced, and the shortcomings of earlier domestically produced large‑scale low‑temperature test chambers—namely, bulky dimensions, poor heat transfer, and low efficiency—are effectively addressed.
4. High-efficiency finned evaporator: The finned evaporator boasts a heat transfer efficiency 30% higher than conventional evaporators and offers advantages such as an attractive appearance, compact size, and rapid cooling.
5. Refrigeration Auxiliary Components: In this equipment’s refrigeration system, other auxiliary components—such as solenoid valves and screening units—are all sourced from renowned international brands, further enhancing the system’s reliability.
6. Comprehensive safety protection devices: When the control system detects that any of the following protective devices (partial list) have been activated, it will automatically cut off power to shut down the entire machine and trigger an audible and visual alarm.
A. System control circuit fuse;
B. System overcurrent protection device;
C. Equipped with a fuseless protective switch;
D. Over-temperature protection device;
E. Overload protection device for the refrigeration compressor;
F. High- and low-pressure protection switches for the compressor;
G. Phase-loss protection switch;
H. Fault indicator light;
I. Emergency stop switch;
J. Display and alarm for controller setting errors.
(8) Equipment Operating Conditions
1. Ambient temperature: 5°C to 35°C

3. Atmospheric pressure: 86–106 kPa
4. The surrounding environment must be free of strong vibrations, strong electromagnetic fields, high concentrations of dust, and flammable, explosive, volatile, or corrosive substances; direct sunlight or other direct thermal radiation must also be avoided (this is of critical importance).
5. The test chamber shall be placed horizontally in a well-ventilated laboratory, with at least 1.5 meters of clearance around it for operation and maintenance.
6. A drainage channel suitable for disposing of overflow water from the test chamber shall be provided near the test chamber.
