Product Description
This instrument is suitable for temperature-rise testing of power‑cord plugs and wires, and is designed in compliance with UL‑817, IEC, and CCC requirements.
Test procedure: After shorting the positive and negative terminals of the plug or socket, connect the tail end to the current output terminal. Then, apply power and, in accordance with the standard, set the required test current and duration. Finally, measure whether the temperature rise at the crimped joint between the plug or socket’s contact blades and the conductor complies with the specified requirements after a given time and current load.
