TH8095 Electrical Dielectric Strength Tester

Scope of Application: The TH8095 electrical dielectric strength tester is suitable for testing the breakdown strength and voltage‑withstand time of solid insulating materials—such as plastics, films, resins, mica, ceramics, glass, and insulating varnishes—under power‑frequency voltage.

Product Description

Scope of Application: The TH8095 electrical dielectric strength tester is suitable for testing the breakdown strength and voltage‑withstand time of solid insulating materials—such as plastics, films, resins, mica, ceramics, glass, and insulating varnishes—under power‑frequency voltage.
Applicable Standards: Complies with GB 1408.1, IEC 60243‑1 “Test Methods for Electrical Strength of Solid Insulating Materials — Tests at Power Frequency,” GB/T 1695‑2005 “Method for Determination of Power-Frequency Breakdown Voltage Strength and Voltage Withstand of Vulcanized Rubber,” GB/T 3333, GB 12656, and ASTM D149 test standards.
Operating principle: The specimen is subjected to an AC voltage applied either by continuous, uniform step‑up or by stepped voltage increases until breakdown occurs; the breakdown voltage is measured, and the dielectric strength of the specimen is calculated. Alternatively, a rapid voltage‑rise method is employed: the voltage is increased to a specified value and held for a set duration; if the specimen does not break down during this period, the specified value is defined as the specimen’s withstand voltage.

Specifications:
1. Test voltage: continuously adjustable from 0 to 50 kV
2. Transformer capacity: 2 kVA
3. Breakdown Voltage: 0–50 kV, breakdown voltage hold-up
4. Five selectable boost rates: 50 V, 100 V, 500 V, 1000 V, and 2000 V/s.
5. Step-up speed control: Electrical speed regulation, using a servo motor.
6. Voltage measurement accuracy: ≤ 2%
7. Leakage current selection: 1–40 mA
8. Test methods: DC test, AC test
9. Voltage Boosting Method: Manual Boost and Electronic Boost
10. Test electrodes: The upper electrode has a diameter of 25 mm and a height of 25 mm; the lower electrode has a diameter of 25 mm and a height of 25 mm. (Electrodes: stainless steel)
11. Control System: Equipped with a Siemens PLC and a Weintek touch screen, the system offers precise control, simple operation, and a fully user-friendly design. Upon completion of the test, it automatically calculates dielectric strength and generates a report, while the panel‑mounted thermal printer can print the test results in real time.
12. Main components: consisting of an electric contact-type voltage regulator, a control box, a protective resistor, an electrode box, and an oil‑bath tank.
13. Chassis material: A3 steel sheet with white electrostatic powder coating
14. Overall dimensions: Length 1400 mm × Width 1100 mm × Height 1700 mm
15. Weight: approximately 240 kg.
16. A sinusoidal waveform with a power-frequency of 50 Hz.

Function Description:
1. After a trip, the voltage regulator automatically returns to zero.
2. Zero‑position closing, with automatic and manual voltage ramping;
3. Imported residual current devices provide reliable protection for personal safety.
4. Overcurrent protection, threshold settings, and other safety protection functions;
5. Equipped with a conveniently removable oil bath tank (made of stainless steel).
